CARSTAR has announced that its partners from Alberta will be the title sponsors for the event Face Off with CF Gala in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2020.
Presented by CARSTAR Alberta partners, the Face Off with CF Gala will take place in Edmonton on Saturday, March 21, 2020. Honorary Chair, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of the Edmonton Oilers will be in attendance at the event.
CARSTAR notes in a release that more than $126,000 were raised for the benefit of cystic fibrosis research at the Face Off with CF Gala last year. 2020 will mark the 31st edition of the gala.
“The CARSTAR organization have been incredible supporters of Cystic Fibrosis Canada and we couldn’t be happier than to team up with the Alberta franchise owners for this very important event,” says Stacy Hipkin, Face Off with CF Gala Chair. “This commitment gives us the foundation to hopefully surpass last year’s fundraising efforts and be that much closer to finding a cure.”
Around 20 years ago, CARSTAR took up the cause after a franchise partner’s granddaughter was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. CARSTAR’s commitment to cystic fibrosis and the funds raised for the same have increased ever since with CARSTAR having raised over $4 million so far. Fundraising for cystic fibrosis is the network’s chosen cause for its North American franchise partners.
“Our Alberta owners have once again shown their commitment to their community by getting behind this great event in support of finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and we are proud of this partnership for the Face Off with CF Gala,” says Michael Piper, Zone Director Canada West, CARSTAR. “This monumental support from these local owners is how CARSTAR has been able to help raise over $4 million for cystic fibrosis, and we are excited to continue our grass roots efforts to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis.”
Besides being held for a good cause, the Face Off with CF Gala is meant to be an elegant affair of fine food and wine. Seven-time Honorary Gala Chair, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and other members of the Edmonton Oilers and Alumni will be in attendance, mingling with the guests throughout the evening. Bob Stauffer, Oilers Radio Analyst, will also be hosting a hockey hot-stove. All proceeds raised through a unique mix of live and silent auction items will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
